O king we come to praise;

In hopes of a raise;

We bow down on our face;

To offer this sacrifice;

Hoping it will suffice for this office.
O king we come to praise;

For you showed us the way when we went astray;

When our loved ones the devil did slay, to you we prayed;

You wouldn’t for any reason let us pay,

For our sins that did dishonour you,

All you had us do was to pray and we no more became prey.
O king we come to praise;

Knowing well we deserve not grace;

But our very lives with grace you did lace;

Our pain you turned to gain,

Our ruin, to blessing rain,

Goodness and mercy followed our trail,

Into the darkest of places, giving us a steady pace,

Conquerors of the quest, the King’s guests,

Arrayed in glory and righteousness only the king could offer.
So O King we come to praise,

Not only for the good times, but the bad as well,

For all testimonies yet unshared, for all the times you did care,

Eternal life our gift, given us by the bridged rift,

So O King we come to praise, to you our voices raised,

Our hearts solemn, no more condemned, grateful to have a king like you.

  1. Praise will always trigger a Raise.
    “Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭67:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Thanks Mimi for sharing
