Uncle Ebo Whyte’s The Deal

You see, this book is all sorts of awesome and I don’t even know where to start. My mind has been blown by this book. A lot of things I’m already aware of, took on a much more practical turn as I saw those very things manifest before my eyes in the book. It felt like I had been teleported into the realms of the book. Enough of the talk, let’s get down to business. Shall we?

Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it.

This was the mantra of a world acclaimed journalist who is the main character of the book. Kweku Idun is a very smart and witty journalist who looked beyond the surface of what he saw, he always dug deeper. He also had a knack for organization and perfection. He is the first person we meet in the book.

devil-in-disguise

On the night he won Africa’s best journalist award, he made a statement he had no idea could become a reality. He had forgotten his own mantra in that moment. Having interviewed every tom, dick and harry in the affluent and deprived worlds, his answer to the question who he’d like to interview now was one he might regret or not. That is for me to know and you to find out. Lol

How would you feel seeing the devil manifest in his hideous nature in your room? How do you think the experience will be, going with him on his various escapades to deceive the brethren and cause mayhem? Is the devil’s company enjoyable? All this is for me to know and you to find out.

Is there really something we’re not doing as Ghanaians or natives of the African continent? Could we do better? How could we make things work in this current dispensation?

Someone had sighted the devil and he was playing with the person’s sanity. Will the person survive? What exactly is the devil up to? All these questions got the better side of my curiosity and had me wondering what the next move will be. I felt all the emotions that the characters felt, it not even more. Realizing the lengths at which the devil will go to get what he wants was a whole discovery.

Do God’s plans and purposes get frustrated when the devil strikes? In this book, your mind gets open to all the things around you that you’ve never paid attention to. You begin to see the light shine on some areas of life which have kept you thinking a lot. You’re able to piece things together and understand the full picture of how life works.

I must say, I didn’t get the whole thing when I started reading the book.But a few pages later, I got gripped and there was no way to seperate me from the novel. I ended up actually completing the read inside a trotro with flashlight from my phone.

As usual, I picked some few lessons from  the book which I want to share;

1. God’s purposes always stand, no matter how long or difficult things look or become

2. They who know their lord will be strong and continue to overcome the wiles of the enemy

3. Not every voice you hear as a Christian is coming from God

4. The mind is really a battlefield, so be on your guard always.

Let me stop talking plenty and allow you to get the book and read. Don’t slack at all. It’s an investment worth making. And oh the novels are a series so if it means you’d have to get a treasury bill package especially to fund it, better do. Cause it’s more than worth it.

You can get details about the book from this image. Enjoy the journey into Uncle’s creative mind. Chao…
