WASHING MACHINE

I grew up learning that a hardworking woman woke up early to wash (manually though) ,so she can get time to take care of her family later during the day. Thus I’ve been washing every Saturday morning (the dawn just doesn’t suit me anyways). Even after the washing machine came, I still washed till my arms and backs hurt. The only time I used the machine was when the things were too much and I’m already tired before even beginning the whole washing routine . It is on one of these wash days that an understanding hit me.

As Christians ,we most often act with God like this.
Naturally every person has been trained to fend for themselves and take care of their own affairs. But when Christ comes in,He wants us to surrender our affairs to Him and watch Him work things out ,whilst we enjoy the ride of being legitimate heirs of the father.
Yet because our training taught us to manage our own affairs,it becomes a struggle. If we’ll ever leave anything at all to God to do then its something that’s beyond us. We’re okay taking care of the ones we think are ‘little’. 

Let me make you a submission here,you see, God is interested in every aspect of your life,whether its the big things or the little things. You haven’t been adopted to come and fend for yourself. I get it that a slave becoming a royal heir overnight is quite unsettling ,but the earlier  you tune your mind to it ,the better.
God is loving but He can’t come in when you’re still holding on. Its either you give Him all or nothing. He settles on nothing less. The fact that He loves you, doesn’t mean He gets the ruts of your life,He deserves and needs the reins to direct control. That’s the only way He can work on you to grow into the full stature of His first son,our model and mentor.

You have strived on your own for long. Just in case it escaped your fine thinking faculties,God has double ownership over your life meaning,He created you and also gave birth to you again by paying a price. He didn’t do that so you use your identity as a license to please yourself. Remember you’ve been crucified with Christ and you no longer live. So you can’t keep holding on to the reins of your life ad moving in the direction you desire. Things have got to turn around.
Surrender to Christ today and let Him direct your life in His way : the way that prunes and purifies you into a fruit bearing branch and in effect quality gold respectively.
Let go of the old mindset of fending for yourself ,relax now and let God do what He does best. If not you’ll keep on enduring pain that shouldn’t be when you can just enjoy life with God,knowing that even if you endure pain,it produces in you a much greater glory .

**The time to surrender is now
God will keep waiting cause He loves you
